Conditions of Membership

To be accepted and remain a member of the Colorado Wildlife Control Operators Association (CWCOA), individuals must meet the following conditions:

  1. Annual Dues
    Membership is valid for the calendar year (January 1 – December 31) and requires payment of annual dues at the level selected.
  2. Code of Ethics
    Members must agree to and uphold the CWCOA Code of Ethics as a commitment to the aims and standards of the association.
  3. Good Standing
    Members are presumed to be in good standing unless an issue arises that prompts review by the Governing Board. Good standing is determined by a majority vote of the Governing Board.
  4. Representation of CWCOA
    Members may represent CWCOA, including use of its name, logo, or copyrighted materials, only when expressly authorized by the Governing Board.

Note:
If a concern regarding a member’s conduct or standing arises, the Governing Board may vote to:

  • reaffirm the member’s good standing,
  • place the member on probation without voting privileges for a defined period, or
  • terminate membership.

Membership Levels

CWCOA offers the following membership categories:

  • Sustaining Member ($200 annually) – Voting member
  • Regular Member ($100 annually) – Voting member
  • Associate Member ($75 annually) – Non-voting member

Voting privileges are granted only to members in good standing within the voting membership categories.



Code of Ethics

As a practicing member of CWCOA, I agree to:

  1. Abide by all applicable wildlife damage management laws and regulations.
  2. Conduct myself with honesty, integrity, professionalism, and dependability.
  3. Demonstrate respect for people, property, and wildlife.
  4. Promote responsible, science-based wildlife management practices.
  5. Be respectful of differing viewpoints within the wildlife damage management field.
  6. Provide professional advice and services within the limits of my training and experience.
  7. Support high standards of education, training, and professional performance.
  8. Pursue continuing education to improve my knowledge and skills.
  9. Utilize best management practices that emphasize humaneness, safety, effectiveness, and practicality.
  10. Treat competitors and clients courteously and ethically.
  11. Encourage ethical conduct and participation in professional associations at the state and national level.

Membership Agreement

By applying for CWCOA membership, I acknowledge that membership is annual (January–December) and affirm that I have read and agree to comply with the Conditions of Membership, Code of Ethics, and bylaws of the Colorado Wildlife Control Operators Association. I understand that membership status and voting privileges are subject to good standing as determined by the Governing Board.
